Passion, drama, mystery, sizzling sensuality! An adventure through the enticing yet darkly mystifying world of the tango, jazz and French chansons. Savour well known works by Argentinian Tango revolutionary Astor Piazzolla, who is renowned internationally as having rebranded Tango into his own nouvelle style, and be among the first in the world to hear his Le Grand Tango, in a brand new saxophone and piano arrangement! Jacqueline Leung is a native of Hong Kong, and began her musical studies at the Academy for Performing Arts. She graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in London and pursued further studies in the US. She has won awards at numerous international competitions, and has performed with some of the world’s leading musicians. Timothy Sun is a freelance saxophonist with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta and the Macau Orchestra. During the concert, he’ll be playing three different saxophones, demonstrating the instrument’s amazing range of sounds and textures. |

Formed in late 2008, the group consists of Janice Ngiam, Emily DiRenzo and Christopher Lai. They recently released their debut self-titled EP, with proceeds going to Darfur. Six Pack of Wolves say: “Leave behind your former wide-eyed idealism and the bands that played your school dance; forget teenage chemical imbalance, the desire to burn or break everything or fall in… and then straight out of… love. Now is the time of indignation, jaded cynicism, strained friendships and hair-trigger rage caused by the soul-crushing days you spend corporate whoring.” Luke Chow – a former choir-boy, Luke has a uniquely rich and powerful baritone voice. He loves to write about experiences and relationships - his debut CD is titled Inspired by People. Luke has been singing, performing and recording with his rock band Hungry Ghosts for the past two years, and is a well-known figure on the Hong Kong indie music scene. 隨著「香港之秀」移進較優時尚的寫字樓，香港賽馬會以其中區警署的設計﹣以高竹棚為主的文化中心﹣吸引了香港市民的關注。這引起最多反對，同時也激發了賽馬會的反省和著手改變，以達致中區警署新設計的出現。 被視為以當代藝術為主的娛樂及文化中心，擬建的發展包括兩座規模較少的新建築。對於此方案，有些人仍然持批判意見，有些人則認為設計無瑕可擊。該地方何時才開放給公眾﹣讓人們能與良朋享受一個寧靜的茶敍的同時，小孩能在中環的心臟、沒有交通的有趣建築物內橫行﹣才是市民最迫切需要的。 我們誠邀各位參與本論壇，與來自著名建築公司Herzog de Meuron、Purcell Miller Tritton及Rocco Design Associates的三位建築師、藝術顧問David Elliott、文化傳承顧問Chris White以及香港賽馬會代表Mike Moir一起就「新」中區警署進行討論。 After “Hong Kong’s finest” moved to swankier offices, the Hong Kong Jockey Club surprised the community with its plans for the Central Police Station: a cultural centre with a bamboo-inspired high-rise hovering over it all. It took many objections, some soul-searching and a change of guard at the Jockey Club to arrive at new plans for the Central Police Station. Conceived as a leisure and culture oasis focusing on contemporary arts, the proposed development includes two much smaller new structures. Some remain critical; others are convinced the design is perfect; most desperately want the place to open soon so we can enjoy a quiet tea or drinks with friends while kids run amok in this great compound of interesting buildings, devoid of traffic, right in the heart of Central. Join the three architects - Herzog de Meuron, Purcell Miller Tritton and Rocco Design Associates, as well as Arts Advisor David Elliott, Heritage Interpretation consultant Chris White and Hong Kong Jockey Club representative Mike Moir, to discuss the “New” Central Police Station. |

Acknowledged as the world’s “Youngest Professional Guitar Player”, this 10-year-old Japanese rock-guitar prodigy returns to Hong Kong to showcase his incredible skills.
