Synopsis

The exhibition shows dynamics of our society in the 1960s; witnessing the vanished and declining industries, the streets, vicissitudes of life, festivals and the change of environment. 40 works are selected for this exhibition, produced in museum-standard silver gelatin prints with traditional methods by the photographer. As a whole, Chak's work recalls our memories, arouses social awareness and understanding of days gone by.

HKIPF2012 Collaborated Exhibition @ Fringe Club Basement

The Hong Kong International Photo Festival, a biennial spectacular within the Hong Kong photography field, runs this year from October to December, with six large-scale exhibitions. Photography lovers and ordinary citizens alike are invited to look back on the development of photography in Hong Kong, and to explore the latest global trends in the field. An array of activities will also target young photographers and the public, to encourage photo taking in the city. The Festival aims to showcase excellent local photographers and to become the leading exchange platform for the photographic culture in Asia.
