Big Bad Jazz (Music Workshop)

Join jazz expert Sinclair Ang as he explains how to cultivate a deeper understanding of and appreciation for jazz music. In this interactive workshop, Sinclair will trace the development of jazz from its roots at the turn of the 20th century to the modern day, with a special focus on the early jazz period from the 1920s to the 1950s, and the instrumentation and style of the different eras. Musician Kenny Matsuura will perform, and you’ll have the chance to make jazz yourself, with your voice and hands! Then stay for a jazz party until late. The workshop is in English.
