The Thirteenth Son is named after the band’s two members, and is also a typical name in Chinese martial-arts novels. The band’s music adopts classical arrangements such as rag and polyphony, creating a romantic feeling. The band-members are long-time practitioners of various instruments, as well as breath exercises and meditation – they believe these skills and disciplines all combine to create a satisfying live performance. Xiao Ling (vocals, tambourine), Ye Lang (guitar, harmonica, vocals) http://www.douban.com/artist/XIAOSHISANLANG/ |
