| Wed 29 Feb 7:30pm (1.5 hrs) 興趣大曬十三回: 《我憶戲院往事》 Passion Speak XIII: My Recollections of Going to the Cinema 主講:何俊輝 陸凌綠|粵語 In Cantonese 免費入場 Free Admission|Fringe Studio Reservations: 2521 7251 email boxoffice@hkfringeclub.com |
Film fans-cum-critics Fai and 606 are disappointed that these days, fewer and fewer movie-goers watch films at a cinema. They believe you’ll feel a lot more sadness, anger and joy when you watch a film on the silver screen than when you watch it on a DVD or your i-Phone or iPad. The traditional “after-work screenings”, “sugar-cane clan” and street snacks outside Hong Kong cinemas in the old days have gradually disappeared. Do you have any cherished memories of events that took place against the backdrop of a visit to the cinema? How about sharing your story about a first date at the cinema? Come to this “Passion Speak” event to celebrate cinemas. Ho Chun Fai is an executive member of the Hong Kong Film Critics Association, and a member of the International Association of Theatre Critics (Hong Kong), the Hong Kong Federation of Drama Societies and Broadway Cinematheque.
