Synopsis

Set in the propaganda department of one of North Korea’s largest textile factories, Vinalon tells the story of a group of workers as they prepare for a visit by the 'Dear Successor.'
Based on the real-life industry that produces the homegrown ‘miracle fabric’ of synthetic vinalon, Rob McBride’s play premiered last year to sell out houses and critical acclaim for the way it opens a window onto the otherwise inaccessible world of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
