Kelvin Leung is a local professional harmonica musician, and in this gig he’ll be working with a group of local talents, including local award-winning progressive rock band Virt, plus some wind and brass musicians. They’ve formed a band to perform a fusion programme, including classical, rock, jazz and pop.
VIRT will also perform some of its own original material and some cover tracks.

Kelvin Leung graduated from King’s College, a cradle of the Hong Kong Harmonica Players, and received his training in the King’s College Harmonica Band. He has been an Award Winner in several international and regional harmonica festivals, and was a judge at the Seoul International Harmonica Festival in 2016 and 2017. In 2017, Kelvin was selected by RTHK as one of its “Young Music Makers”, and appeared in several radio and television broadcasts. He is the founder of the RedBricks Harmonica Ensemble and has performed at many local events.
VIRT is a band devoted to the creation of unique tones. Its sound is influenced by various musical genres, including Alternative Rock, Fusion, Math Rock and Progressive Rock. The name VIRT also implies virtuosity, which is what the band strives for in music.
Within six months of its establishment, VIRT was awarded the Hong Kong Regional Champion and the Best Guitarist in Hong Kong Asia Pacific Youth Band Sound Competition 2017, and the Champion in the Tertiary Category in the Hong Kong & Macau Youth Band Competition 2017.
