2581 - A Celebration of Singapore’s Heritage Music in Hong Kong

10 years ago in 2006, Singapore came into the spotlight at the Hong Kong Fringe Club as part of the City Festival. The festival promoted cultural exchange advocated in the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the governments of Singapore and Hong Kong. 

10 years later in 2016, The TENG Ensemble, a critically acclaimed Singaporean music group, brings Singapore’s art back to the Fringe Club through a celebration of Singapore’s heritage music and its longstanding cultural relationship with Hong Kong. 

For two nights only at the Fringe Upstairs, the ensemble will be presenting 7 original works based on Singapore’s heritage music, sights and sounds. They will also present 2 new works inspired by Hong Kong that are specially commissioned for their debut tour here.
