This month's play reading is The Government Inspector by Nikolai Gogol (1809 to 1852), a Russian dramatist of Ukrainian origin.
Mime is hardly considered a popular art form even in present days; one can easily imagine the dismal response to the art form some twenty years back when Fringe Mime and Movement Laboratory (Mime Lab) first emerged in the scene.
Presented by the Fringe Club as one of the programmes of “Jazz-Go-Central, Jazz-Go-Fringe” project, JazzSpeak is the training programme of the Jazz Youth Internship Scheme Phase I. The first three lectures will be hosted by the Chung Brothers, examining jazz from its origins to the present, its relation to other forms of music and different styles within the jazz genre.
