Synopsis

Artist Chao Harn Kae believes the most touching art is born from the purest interactions. He initiated long-term workshops set in tranquil spaces, guiding participants to use their fingertips and clay to respond directly to the real, living body before them. He focuses on capturing the immediate ”sensation“—the light and shadow, textures, breath, and the silent yet profound connection existing between the creator, the model, and the material.

”Every workshop is a unique ’encounter‘,“ shares Chao . This encounter is not only between people but also a collision between inner perception and outer form, a dialogue between hands and the materiality of clay. He hopes to preserve these momentary, pure moments of resonance permanently through the artworks.✨

Pure · Encounters returns to the origin of creation, stripping away excessive embellishment to point directly to the core of art—the most direct emotional flow between people, and between people and matter. This is an exhibition about the body, touch, and existence, inviting you to encounter that initial sense of ”pure“ before the silent clay sculptures.
