Rhapsody of the City in Jazz Vibraphone ⛵🏙️🎶

 

Lauren Yuen is Hong Kong’s pioneering jazz vibraphonist and percussionist. Founder of the Hong Kong Percussion Performance Centre and M.A.R.B.L.E.S. Percussion, her versatile style spans classical, jazz, and contemporary music.

 

A graduate of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts under James Boznos, Sophia Woo, and Chien Chien Lu, Lauren has collaborated with Third Coast Percussion, Percussions de Strasbourg, and the Li Biao Percussion Group. Recently, she formed the Lauren Yuen Quartet, presenting acclaimed concerts supported by the HKADC and featured on RTHK. In 2026, she studied under jazz vibraphone masters Tony Miceli and Warren Wolf in the US.

 

Centred on "Local Nostalgia", this performance features original works tailored for Hong Kong. Bright, crisp melodies weave youthful campus memories and bustling streets into a unique urban musical tapestry.
